Here is the machine following 3 coats of primer.

I am using the "Jappaning" technique to paint this Singer.

More of the "Jappaning" technique following a few coats of paint.

This is the machine completely sanded of paint. When I first received it I found that a previous owner had completely painted the machine black. Probably with a spray can.

This is the condition of the machine prior to any restoration.

Decals applied followed by multiple coats of shellac. The finished restoration.

          Singer 1913 treadle machine

This is the finished machine head. The dacals were intact. Hardware was removed and hand polished.

The stand was broken when I received it. I welded together the broken pieces, primed, and painted the stand.

The remaining cabinet was disassembled, hardware removed, and completely refinished.
